The joint-stock company "SEDA" is the one of the biggest peat obtainer and exporting enterprise in Latvia. It was established in 1954, but in 1993 was reorganized and became a joint-stock company. Company owener is  Vapo OY . The total area of peat milling and extracting is about 1`800 ha. The company is provided with the equipment necessary for the production of substrates, for packing peat in BIG BAGS, as well as with the equipment for processing peat and dividing it into different fractions.
